Today's Prayer Request
Significant development in Central Asia
UZBEKISTAN. This Central Asian country borders Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan, making it a strategic location for ministry. Despite varying degrees of persecution against evangelical Christians, ministry leaders are planting underground churches in neighboring Tajikistan. Pray that these fellowships will have trained leaders. Transportation, books, food and lodging for students traveling to Uzbekistan for training costs $7,900.

CHRISTIAN AID sends financial support to over 800 indigenous ministries that deploy at least 80,000 native missionaries. They are taking the gospel of Christ to more than 3000 previously unreached tribes and nations in Asia, Africa, Latin America and Eastern Europe. These pioneer missionaries evangelize unreached people and plant churches in countries where American missionaries are no longer allowed to go. Contributions are needed to help them. All gifts designated for specific ministries are sent 100% to the ministry, and no portion is deducted for administrative expenses.

African ministries are awakening to the call for discipleship and missions, but workers must be trained. And they must be trained by their own people, Africans who know first-hand what is required. There is a marked difference in fruitfulness in the work of those who are SOM-trained, compared to those who have no specialized missions training at all, or who have received training from Western mission agencies/schools. Christian Aid seeks to establish a witness for our Lord Jesus among unreached people groups
by assisting highly effective native missionaries who already know the languages and culture
and are getting the job done for less cost.
