Indigenous Ministries helping Persecuted Christians
In many countries Christians are a persecuted minority always in danger of being a target of the ruling class; persecution can come in many forms—sometimes it is as simple as a community refusing to have anything to do with someone who has accepted Christ, but it can easily escalate to exile or even violence. In hostile areas, indigenous Christian communities face the constant threat of persecution.
Christian Aid supports persecuted Christians in a variety of ways:
- Assisting the families of martyred or imprisoned Christians, or those who lost homes and income
- Providing food supplies and medical care when needed
- Providing materials to rebuild Christian churches, meeting centers and Christian homes destroyed by anti-Christian violence
