About Botswana

Botswana is a dry South African country mostly covered by the Kalahari Desert. It is home to 47 People Groups. Botswana has one of the more dynamic economies in Africa but it is also struggling with the menace of AIDS. The Tswana were the first Bantu people to accept Jesus but have suffered a moral decline in recent decades. Botswana has a strong Christian church but African paganism still dominates the lives of many Botswanans.
