About Brunei

Brunei exists as two small enclaves on the island of Borneo, separated by the East Malaysian state of Sarawak. It is home to 23 people groups, 7 of whom are considered unreached according to the Joshua Project. The largest People Group is the Brunei Malay which is an umbrella term for several assimilated indigenous People Groups. The Brunei Malay are ethnically close to the Malay and share the same form of Islam but there are important cultural and linguistic differences between the two groups.
