About Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is the eastern two-thirds of the island of Hispaniola, shared with Haiti. It is home to 15 distinct People Groups. The official language is Spanish. It is predominately Christian but many who are active practice a dangerous blend of Christianity and Afro-Spiritism, influenced by Cuban santeria and Haitian voodoo.
