About Georgia

Georgia is a Black Sea state between the Caucasus Mountains and Turkey. It has 39 People Groups, 15 of whom are considered unreached by the Joshua Project. The largest People Group is the Georgians who trace their ancestry back to Japheth, son of Noah. The largest unreached People Group is the Azerbaijani; Georgia´s Azerbaijani are primarily Muslims of the Ithna Ashari tradition, but there are a number of Hanafite Muslims as well. Twenty percent of the Azerbaijani in Georgia are non-religious.
