About Hungary

Hungary is a landlocked, central European state on the River Danube. It has 25 People Groups, the largest being the Hungarians or Magyar who were a tribe of Central Asian horsemen. After the fall of Communism there was a brief window were Christianity was accepted but it is now increasingly difficult to openly witness. Many evangelical movements are seeking to address the material and spiritual needs of the Hungarian Romani, the largest and most disadvantaged minority group.
