About Liberia

Liberia is a northwestern African state. It is home to 39 People Groups, 5 of whom remain unreached according to the Joshua Project. Liberia was colonized by American ex-slaves in the l800 where they soon came into conflict with the indigenous people already living there. A large portion of the population claim to be Christian but concurrent participation in indigenous religious secret societies such as Poro and Sande is common.
