About Madagascar

Madagascar is the fourth largest island in the world and lies off the coast of Mozambique. It is home to 40 People Groups, 10 of whom remain unreached according to the Joshua Project. The primary language is Malagasy and the inhabitants are a curious blend of Pacific Islander and African. The indigenous missionaries on the island struggle with the extreme poverty present in this island nation as well as dealing with tightly held vestiges of the ethnic religions such as ancestor worship and the increased outreach from global Islamist missionaries.
