About Mauritius

Mauritius is made up of one larger and three smaller islands east of Madagascar in the western Indian Ocean; it is home to 18 People Groups, 7 of whom remain unreached according to the Joshua Project. The country´s populace is composed of several ethnicities, including Indian, African, Chinese and French. The first European explorers found no indigenous people living on the island. There is much mission work to be done among the various settled People Groups particularly those originally from India and Southern Asia.
