About Mongolia

Mongolia is primarily an arid land containing 29 people groups 23 of whom have yet to be reached. The largest people group is the Khalka Mongols. Their language is Halh and all Mongol groups speak a version of it. The dominant religion in the country is Buddhism which originally spread to them from Tibet, but there are also many Mongolians who practice Shamanism or have no religious affiliation at all.
