About Reunion

Reunion is a volcanic island in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. It is home to 16 People Groups, 4 of whom remain unreached according to the Joshua Project. Reunion was uninhabited until the French settled the island in 1642. Most of the population is nominally Catholic but there is a large degree of syncretism including the Malabar religion which blends Hinduism and African witchcraft.
