Joshua Project
Rwanda is a mountainous country north of Burundi. It is home to 12 People Groups, 3 of whom remain unreached according to the Joshua Project. Rwanda is still recovering from a genocidal civil war in 1994 that pitted the Hutus against the Tutsis. In its aftermath ethnic identification was banned in favor of uniting the various ethnic groups as Rwandans. Islam has seen a sharp rise in recent years and Christians in Rwanda are having trouble counteracting it.
