About Yemen

Yemen is located along the southern portion of the Arabian Penninsula and is the fusion of two smaller countries, one ruled by the Ottomans and the other by the British. Yemen is home to 29 People Groups, 20 of whom remain unreached according to the Joshua Project. In the south the dominant form of Islam is Sunni while in the north it is a conservative form of Shi´ism called Zaidism. Christian foreigners are free to pracice their religion but conversion from Islam is forbidden.
