Native Missionaries By Region

Christian Aid is dedicated to providing support for native missionaries in poor nations and where they are victims of persecution.

Specifically, we support native missionaries in seven regions: Africa, Southeast Asia, South Asia, China, Middle East, Latin America and the former Soviet Union.

Each of these regions presents unique challenges to native missionaries laboring to share the gospel with their own people. By clicking on a particular region, you can learn more about the work of native missionaries within the context of a specific mission field.

Africa

Throughout history Africans have suffered from a legion of formidable hardships including drought, floods, disease, hunger and tribal warfare. Yet the greatest threat to all of Africa comes in the form of a false religion: Islam....

China

There is no doubt that God is at work in China. China has experienced the fastest growing church movement in history. Approximately 20,000 people become Christians in China every day....

Former USSR

Middle East and Gulf Countries

War, terror and senseless crime are the constant oppressors of those living in Arab nations. But Islam undoubtedly presents the biggest challenge for Middle Eastern Christians....

Latin America

Christian Aid financially assists indigenous ministries in 13 Latin American countries. Compared to native Asian missionaries, Latin American missionaries encounter less overt persecution. Yet no lack of courage is permitted of them as they face poverty, corrupt governments and foreign religions, hostile to the gospel....

Southeast Asia

Along with the Middle East, Southeast Asia is one of the most dangerous mission fields for native believers. It is not uncommon for Christians in the countries of Indonesia, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam and the Philippines to be imprisoned, brutally beaten or killed....

South Asia

Christian Aid supports indigenous ministries located in five countries of South Asia, which include India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. These ministries are working to share the gospel with 513 unreached people groups....
