We Don't Work for God Henry Blackaby, author of Experiencing God, explains a fundamental principle that many Christians miss, myself included. He posed the question: "What is a servant?" Someone who works for God, right? Wrong. We don't work for God. God works through us. If we don't understand this, the fruit of our Christian lives will be extremely limited. Why? Islamic State Devastation

As the battle continues for Mosul, the Islamic State's last major stronghold in Iraq, signs of the violence that ISIS wreaked on a nearby village remain. Since the Iraqi military began retaking Mosul on Oct. 17, 2016, more than 144,500 people have been displaced, most of them in desperate need, according to U.N. figures. A ministry based in Iraq is providing refugees in camps outside Mosul with food, clothes, medications, heaters, blankets, tents, clean water, infant formula and diapers, as well as Bibles and Christian coloring books. "We need almost everything," said the director of the ministry, which can purchase items locally. "Needs are not being met, and people are struggling. There are a lot of people and organizations helping, but it's like a drop of water in the sea."

Since 1953, Christian Aid Mission has helped more than 1500 ministries around the world reach the unreached with the gospel of Jesus Christ. In areas where there is no witness for Christ, where Christians suffer from poverty or persecution, or where foreign missionaries are not allowed, Christian Aid Mission serves as the supply line between Majority World believers and their brethren in the United States and other industrialized countries. Please visit www.christianaid.org for more information.
