Faces of Homelessness

Little ones among Syrian refugees make the best of a bad situation after authorities in Turkey destroyed their tent camp. Officials brought buses to transfer 3,500 residents to official refugee camps but, knowing that violence and abuse are common there, nearly all the refugees scattered to the streets after their tents were flattened. "The people were upset because all their belongings in the tents, and the tents, were destroyed," an indigenous ministry leader said. "About 120 displaced families are living on the streets, including Muslim-background believers looking to our ministry for help, and 490 families moved in with others – three or more families packed into a broken-down slum flat." The ministry continues to provide food, mattresses, infant care items and other essentials to those in apartments and those on the street but urgently needs funding. Please consider helping indigenous workers to help refugees survive and find eternal life in Christ.
