Shining Light in the Darkness

Imagine how different your life would be if you had intermittent electrical power, or no power at all? In the Gaza region of Israel, Palestinian Christians are confronted with these challenges daily. Bethlehem Bible College and an evangelical church in Gaza—with assistance from Christian Aid—are working together to supply solar-powered panels and generators to needy families. The equipment makes it possible for residents to operate computers, televisions, and electric lights in their homes for several hours. Christians in the area will soon celebrate Christmas Day near the very place where Jesus was born. With solar panels they can enjoy extra hours of light—and gather to worship the Savior, Who said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12, NKJV).
