Sea of Harvest

A line of people mark their trust in Christ through baptism off the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines. A native ministry that aims to hold baptismal services every two months began 30 years ago with the planting of five churches. Amid an area known for doctrinal error, blends of Christianity with traditional island beliefs, superficial faith and a Muslim separatist movement, the ministry strives to bring the truth of Christ through evangelistic Bible studies, radio broadcasts, film showings, hospital and prison visitations, and food and shelter outreaches to children and senior citizens. A Bible school trains leaders to plant churches with the goal of establishing at least one new congregation every year.
