Play Outside

A small refugee boy finds some nails to play with outside the run-down building where his family has taken shelter in Lebanon. A ministry based in the country holds monthly "club" meetings and regular camps for such children that engage them with singing, games and Bible teaching. The ministry director said the kids deeply love the experience. "One of the kids was hiding under the table – he didn't want to go," the director said. The Muslim parents who send their children to the outings find they return home more loving and respectful. The director said Muslim parents tell him they respect people who do good. "We've heard this a lot, even from those who don't like us," he said. "They say, 'You don't lie, you teach them about love, you teach them about God.'" About 90 percent of the children who come to the gatherings put their trust in Christ, he said.
