Filipino Missionary baptizing new believer.

Rebirth Canal

The church continues to grow in the Philippines' Mindanao Province in spite of hostilities from communist and Islamist rebels. An indigenous ministry on the island of Mindanao aims to baptize 2,000 born-again people over the next three years. The ministry has planted churches through a radio ministry, an orphanage, a home for indigent senior citizens, feeding programs for the poor and digging water wells, but a critical need now is assistance for its Bible training institute. Sound leadership is sorely needed in a country riddled with sects, lack of solid teaching and superficiality. "A producer of God's missionaries and pastors, the training institute celebrated its 24th commencement exercises this month, with three graduating students receiving their diplomas," the ministry director said. "Please continue to be in partnership with this worthwhile undertaking of training committed young men and women to be in the full-time service of the Lord. We are praying and raising friends for mission partnerships, inviting you to be a part of it, as the Lord provides."
