Remedy and Redemption

Indigent tribal people who suffer from leprosy in Vietnam's Central Highlands often lack the use of various body parts and are barely able to support themselves. An indigenous ministry distributes food, supplies, medicine and clothing to leper colonies in Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces, as well as spiritual nourishment and encouragement. "These suffering people in remote jungle areas in the Central Highlands region are hungry both physically and spiritually," the ministry director said. "We also had a chance to share the gospel and worship together with them." Workers provide them goats and chickens to help them become more self-sustaining. "They are very happy every time we visit them, not just because of gifts but because they know they are not forgotten by their brothers and sisters in Christ," he said. "With your donations, we also dug a number of needed fresh-water wells. From now on, they do not have to carry water from a faraway stream or river."
