Orphans living in poor Burmese village tending chickens

Kachin Orphans

These children are from the Kachin region of northern Burma. Kachin State is the northernmost state of Burma, bordered by China to the north and east. Fighting between the Kachin Independence Army and Burma´s military since July 2011 has resulted in the displacement of some 80,000-100,000 villagers, many of whom live in temporary camps. Most of these desperately needy children are orphaned of one or both parents and need to experience the love of God in their lives.

You can sponsor a child in Burma through Christian Aid´s child sponsorship program. For $25 a month, you can provide a child with food, clothing, and education. But that is only the beginning. Indigenous Christian missionaries will share the good news of Jesus with them and demonstrate God´s love to them through their generosity and kind actions.
