Farmland in remote Nepal

Farmland in Nepal

Nepal is a landlocked country in South Asia, sandwiched between India and China. It is situated in the lap of the beautiful snow-capped Himalayas and is home to the world's highest peak – Mount Everest. About 80% of Nepalese are farmers and more than half of them live on a $1 day or less. A typical Nepalese meal is Dal bhat. Dal is a soup made from different types of lentil seeds, served over bhat (boiled rice), with tarkari (curried vegetables) together with pickles or a spicy condiment.
