Punjab Ministries of India regularly conducts outside evangelistic outreaches in North India. In 2011, when the missionary team held an open- air meeting in one of the villages, they reported a wonderful work of God among the crowd of about 250 people. After they gathered, the missionary preached the gospel and 19 villagers repented from their sin and received Jesus Christ as their Savior. Afterward, 14 of them were baptized.Read more.

Just a few weeks ago, the Islamic terrorist group Boko Haram murdered Suleman Asmaul. A serious convert from Islam, Suleman spent time in discipleship training where he determined to take the gospel back to his own unreached and highly resistant Kanuri tribe. The Kanuri are 100% Muslims based in Maiduguri, where most of the Boko Haram terrorist attacks have taken place until recently.Read more.

On January 20, multiple bombs rocked Kano as Boko Haram sprayed gunfire on 8 government sites including the headquarters of both local and zonal police, the State Security Service, which is the much-feared secret police, and immigration and passport offices. So far more than 200 people have died, many more are injured. Read more.

First-hand report of a native missionary ministry leader supported by Christian Aid. "Thank God for His grace and mercy. Today, we buried Jacob Eloiyi, one of our ministry supporters who was killed by Islamic terrorists. The funeral was highly attended by believers, and we prayed for the peace of our city and Nigeria. Continue to pray with us as we trust the Lord that all will be well. It seems we are more peaceful for now even though three people were shot yesterday in a beer parlor." Read more.

Nearly 99 percent of all remote villages in Burma have no electricity. Because of this, church planters are unable to visit the villagers in the evenings for evangelistic outreach, follow-up or Bible study. But evenings are the only time these hardworking villagers are available since they work and perform their household chores during the daylight hours. Read more.

Mothers here are telling horror stories of how their children were “robbed from their beds” by flood waters that killed over 1200 during the Christmas holidays. Indigenous missionaries, with help from Christian Aid Mission, are rushing assistance to help rebuild broken lives, homes and churches in the aftermath of Typhoon Washi. Over 300,000 were left homeless. Based in Charlottesville, Virginia, Christian Aid is forwarding emergency finances. Read more.

Indigenous missionaries are rushing aid to help rebuild broken lives, homes and churches after Typhoon Washi killed over 1200 during the Christmas holidays. The death toll is still climbing. For more than 58 years Christian Aid has provided representation in the USA for indigenous evangelistic missions based in lands of great poverty. Most are in countries where American missionaries are no longer allowed to preach the gospel of Christ. Local support is not available in these poor countries. We know of tens of thousands of native missionaries who are out on the fields right now with no cash income. The work of many thousands of them has been greatly increased when their parent missions received financial help from Christian Aid. Read more.

At that time the Board of Directors resolved that every contribution received by Christian Aid designated for an overseas need or ministry must be sent overseas 100% without deduction. No portion shall be retained by Christian Aid to cover expenses incurred on behalf of the overseas ministries involved. Read more.

Those who enter fully into the Christian experience will continually share two opposite emotions: joy and sorrow. When our Saviour was born the heavenly angels announced “good tiding of great joy” to shepherds abiding in the fields. But some time later when the newborn child was presented to the Lord in the temple at Jerusalem a prophet named Simeon said that He was “a sign which shall be spoken against” and warned His mother, Mary, that because of this child a sword would pierce through her soul (Luke 2:34-35). More than 130 Christians, including several indigenous missionaries, were brutally slaughtered on November 11 when members of a fanatic Islamic sect viciously attacked the mostly Christian community of New Jerusalem in Yobe State, Nigeria.
