Aug. 27, 2007 - Beginning in 1990, five Burmese gospel workers began translating the Bible into the language spoken by the Ngawn tribe, an unreached people group of 20,000. Using only a manual typewriter, the workers completed 10 copies of the translation in 2006. These copies were kept in a safe location and loaned to native believers.

Aug. 20, 2007 - An earthquake of 8.0 magnitude occurred in Peru on August 15. It was one of the worst natural disasters to hit the South American country in the last century. There are ministries supported by Christian Aid located nearby and they are able to reach the areas affected by the earthquake with help.

Nevertheless you might have seen or heard a report about the floods in South Asia in recent weeks. Some of the countries hit were Pakistan, Nepal, India and Bangladesh.
