Who are the Meo, Gujjar, Bazigar, Jat, Dhanak, Dhobi, Bagri, Majhbi Sikh, Chamar, Balmikl, Ahir and the Julaha?

These women from the Julaha people group have learned to sing Christian songs and pray.
Gifts to Christian Aid have been helping indigenous ministries to share the gospel among unreached people groups like those named above.

One of the groups, the Meo people, are being reached by a ministry in northern India. There are close to one million Meos living in over 500 villages of Haryana State. The Meo are among the least reached people groups in the world, meaning there are few, if any, known believers.

Recently Christian Aid started sending gifts to the ministry to help them to begin evangelizing a few of the Meo villages. After some training they sent missionaries to share the gospel. In one village a missionary started a literacy program among the people. With help from donors in America, he was able to set up a meeting place and provided gospel literature to help the students learn to read.

Soon after beginning outreaches to Meo people Christian Aid received a report that the first new believer was baptized!

The ministry also is working among the Julaha people.

With gifts sent to Christian Aid 13 sewing machines were given to poor girls from this group. As the young women are learning the tailoring trade, they are also hearing about the Lord.

The ministry leader wrote about the new believers from this tribe, "They have learned to say 'Jai Masih' (Praise the Lord), kneeling down for prayer, saying 'amen,' bowing their heads, singing songs and praying. We will continue to disciple them."

Other ministries like this one are reaching people from unreached areas with the gospel.

Christian Aid Mission has many projects and ministries that are included in its Unreached Peoples Initiative. People can have an opportunity to be part of this initiative to send Christ's message of hope and redemption to unreached "nations."

A gift of $50, $100, or any amount, designated for the Unreached Peoples Initiative, will help similar ministries to implement their strategies for reaching those who do not even know the saving name of Jesus Christ.

Experience has shown that one of the best ways to gain the trust of a new people group is to develop relationships and build trust.

With assistance from Christian Aid a worker can take his family with him and go to live among the people. When they are settled in the area, they can start a project that will benefit the village. It may be an orphanage, a farm, trade school, literacy center, medical clinic, or something similar. Once established, they will find ways to share the gospel and eventually plant a church in the area.

A gift today will have a big impact on getting the gospel to places where it has never been before. Involvement in these projects will help to change lives for eternity, as people from tribes like the Meo and Julaha are brought into the kingdom of God.

In today's struggling economy, by helping cost effective native missionaries, Americans can have a maximum impact for every missions dollar sent to Christian Aid.

Several people have been interested in making larger donations to cover the costs of a complete U.P.I. project. To hear about some of the proposals Christian Aid has on hand, call 434-977-5650.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Matthew 24:14

Thus we may expect our Lord to return when His name is known among all the nations, however many that may be. That's why we give priority to planting churches among unreached people.

»I want to help reach unreached people with the gospel.

»I want to help where most needed for indigenous missions.

»I want to help with Christian Aid's costs to serve the brethren overseas.

Christian Aid seeks to establish a witness for our Lord Jesus among unreached people groups
by assisting highly effective native missionaries who already know the languages and culture
and are getting the job done for less cost.
