Your support of $30 a month helps rescue children from danger and poverty, providing them with protection, love, care, and a solid foundation through hope in Christ.

Support Needy Children Worldwide

Children throughout the world have been abandoned, orphaned, or have run away from abusive situations. Without anyone to care for them, they live on the streets, vulnerable to predators and traffickers. Or, they live in squalor with parents who are unable to provide for their most basic needs. Malnutrition, disease, illiteracy, child labor schemes, prostitution, and crime steal their futures.

But God is using indigenous ministries assisted by Christian Aid Mission to protect and nurture needy children. Many of these indigenous ministries have opened orphanages, schools, and daycare centers; and they are committed to raising children in the knowledge and admonition of the Lord. Beyond food, clothing, shelter, and education, these children are lovingly discipled in God’s Word, and many of them grow up to serve Him in full-time ministry.

Your gift to support needy children worldwide will allow funds to be sent where most urgently needed.

Specific region opportunities

Support Children in

Africa

Decade after decade, Africans continue to suffer from the same problems of famine and hunger, illiteracy, tribal warfare, disease, and low mortality. Corrupt governments keep the population in poverty, doing little to develop basic infrastructure like roads and clean water sources or provide social services like hospitals and schools. Millions of children in remote villages have no opportunity to obtain an education. Children in Muslim-dominated regions may attend a madrassa (Islamic religious school) where they learn the Quran.

With help from Christian Aid Mission, indigenous ministries are transforming communities through children’s outreach. Many of these ministries have started Christian schools in poor villages where they educate and disciple the next generation. Other ministries are raising children to know and love Christ in children’s homes and orphanages.

Support Children in

China

China has the world’s largest population of 1.3 billion. Previously a world leader, China declined after its Cultural Revolution crippled the economy and took millions of lives. Since 1978, however, China has risen as the world’s second largest economy. Every day in China, thousands of people make the decision to follow Christ, bringing the estimated number of Christians to at least 100 million. They meet together in secret house churches and Bible schools, where they receive the training they need to take the gospel to China’s 56 ethnic groups.

Over the past 30 years, Christian Aid Mission has assisted more than 150 Bible schools in all 31 provinces of China, along with Sunday schools, orphanages, and special outreaches to widows, the homeless, Muslims, and Tibetans.

Support Children in

Europe

Throughout Europe, evangelicals comprise only a small percentage of the population. In Greece, only 0.45 percent of the population is evangelical. The Orthodox Church sees evangelical Christianity as a threat. In Spain, only 1.35 percent is evangelical. Roman Catholicism used to dominate as the state religion; however, Spain has become increasingly secular.

Spain’s declining religious sector has given way to immorality. It is one of the largest consumers of cocaine, heroin, and marijuana in the world. Albania, the only country ever to classify itself as an atheist nation, is home to many who identify themselves by their families’ religion in name only.

The civil war in Syria has caused hundreds of thousands of refugees to immigrate to Europe. Indigenous ministries are befriending them and showing them the love of Christ through practical aid. This has resulted in many former Muslims rejecting Islam to embrace the Savior.

Support Children in

the Former Soviet Union

Evangelism is highly restricted in former U.S.S.R countries, most of which are dominated by Islam and where the Christian population is well below 1 percent. The gospel, however, has started to take root in this vast region, and an increasing number of ethnic minorities have a witness for Christ among them. Most churches in the former Soviet Union are underground.

The least-restricted country in the former Soviet Union, Ukraine has seen massive growth among its evangelical population, as youth turn from their elders’ traditional Orthodox religion for a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Drug addiction and alcoholism are rampant among children, youth, and adults in the region, where there are very few rehabilitation programs or centers. Christian Aid Mission supports multiple indigenous ministries throughout the region that shelter and care for children whose parents cannot provide for them. Since 1997, a children’s ministry in Ukraine has been rescuing children off the streets to provide them with a loving home environment and the hope of the gospel.

Support Children in

Latin America

While Christianity is spreading at a rapid pace throughout Latin America, its expansion has been somewhat shallow and lacks societal change. For instance, countries in Central America have the largest Protestant populations in the region, but corruption, violence, and extreme poverty are still rampant in these countries.

From the poverty-stricken villages at the top of the Andes Mountains in Peru to the gang-ridden slums of Guatemala City, indigenous ministries in Latin America are nurturing children with the love of Christ. Through Christian Aid Mission’s sponsorship program, these ministries are providing children with hot meals, afterschool recreation, clothing, school supplies, and discipleship in God’s Word. Instead of joining a gang or becoming involved in drugs or prostitution, these children grow up to love and serve Jesus, making a positive impact on their communities.

Support Children in

the Middle East

Since the civil war began in Syria in 2011, the people of the Middle East have suffered unimaginable hardship and loss. Millions of Syrians fled their homes when ISIS invaded their communities. They are now destitute, living in foreign countries like Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, and other places where they do not speak the language and cannot find employment. Likewise, millions of Iraqis fled their homes and headed for the northern region of Kurdistan.

Christian Aid Mission assists numerous indigenous ministries inside Syria and Iraq, as well as in the countries to which refugees fled. Away from their homes, where it was risky for them to inquire about the Christian faith, refugees have been talking with native missionaries about the gospel. Many have expressed disillusionment in Islam and interest in Jesus Christ.  The fields are white for harvest, and God is providing unprecedented opportunities for His servants to share His truth in the Middle East.

Support Children in

South Asia

Radical Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist groups in South Asian countries are actively pursuing the eradication of Christianity, making ministry increasingly difficult for native believers. But despite higher levels of persecution against Christians, the gospel is rapidly spreading throughout the region, and tens of thousands of people are giving their lives to Christ every day.

However, there is still much work to be done. Northern India contains the world’s largest number of unreached people groups. Islamic extremism in Pakistan has significantly increased during the last 10 to 15 years due in large part to Islamic education centers where 40 million children are taught to persecute religious minorities like Christians.

South Asian countries like Nepal and Sri Lanka are bastions of pedophilia, as many children are sold into prostitution or trafficked across borders. Christian Aid Mission-assisted ministries across the region are sheltering such vulnerable children in orphanages and children’s homes, raising them to know Jesus Christ and His love for them.

Support Children in

Southeast Asia

Christianity has taken root and continues to grow among ethnic minorities in Southeast Asia who face increasing persecution from oppressive regimes and the Muslim population. Indigenous missionaries in Southeast Asia are challenged to minister to unreached people groups in regions of extreme poverty and where there is rampant drug usage. The countries of Myanmar, Laos, and Thailand comprise Southeast Asia’s Golden Triangle, one of Asia’s two main opium-producing areas. Myanmar is also the world’s largest producer of methamphetamines.

Indigenous ministries throughout Southeast Asia have opened free preschools and daycare centers in poor areas, where missionaries nurture and feed children in a safe environment while their parents work. This has opened many doors for the message of Christ to spread to Buddhist families who would otherwise be resistant to the gospel. Other ministries run feeding centers where children enjoy a nourishing meal while learning about the Bible. Many other ministries shelter and care for children who were abandoned or abused at their orphanages or children’s centers.
