As Islamic terrorism spreads in several countries, local missionaries are increasingly pressed to come to the aid of persecuted Christians. Workers are providing food to many Christians displaced from their homes and harvests. Though local missionaries teach Christians to remain strong in their home areas as witnesses, at times dangers become so severe that converts must be relocated; a native ministry in one area recently relocated several people, including widows and children, to neighboring communities. Donations are sought to cover the costs of aid and relocation for the persecuted. Pray that those suffering persecution would experience the power of God.
“Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.” (1 Peter 4:13)
