Wednesday, June 1 – Turkey
Refugees from Syria, Afghanistan and other areas of conflict arrive in anguish, often ill, and they are hard-pressed to find work in a troubled economy. Many mothers who have lost their husbands arrive with children in need of nutrition, health care and education. Local missionaries are the only ones welcoming them, helping them to survive with food, clean water, medical care and payments of rent and utilities. Workers need donations of $35 and $70 to provide life-saving aid, which creates a natural bridge for sharing the gospel. Pray refugees will see Christ in the love they are experiencing from workers.
“Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life.” (Psalm 54:4)
