Many people in the region who trust in Christ for eternal life lose their families, homes and jobs as a result of their faith, and some fall prey to human trafficking rings. Opposition comes from Muslims, Hindus, communists, nature-worshiping shamans and others, and local missionaries active in evangelizing must devote energies and resources to strengthening and protecting Christians. In one area, workers obtained land for disciples kicked out of their village and encouraged them with biblical teaching to help them stand strong. Donations are sought for such aid to the persecuted. Pray for wisdom and boldness for evangelists sharing Christ amid harsh opposition.
“But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.” (1 Peter 4:13)
