Evangelists trekked to remote areas to hand out Bibles and share the message of Christ’s salvation with impoverished villagers, and months later they were leading studies of Scripture among those hungry to know more. “Now they are very happy to have the Word of God,” the leader of a native ministry said. “We have planted three new churches in three different villages.” Serving people despised for their caste and poverty, local missionaries saw many people experience the joy of knowing Christ and His redeeming grace. Workers rely on donations of $25 or $50 for such evangelism and discipleship. Pray God’s name will be glorified where His kingdom is taking root.
