July 1
The wife and children of a young man fled to another house after one of his drunken, violent rages. He rejected the gospel when a local missionary visited his home, but when the worker returned a month later, the villager said he wanted to repent and receive Christ. He stopped drinking, and his family returned to him and also accepted Christ’s grace. Such local missionaries throughout the country saw people saved as they visited homes and led Bible studies, and they held weekly meetings with new believers to form strong disciples. Donations are sought for such evangelism and discipleship efforts. Pray for God’s kingdom to overcome darkness with the light of Christ.
“For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.” (Psalm 56:13)
