From urban slums to remote rural areas, native workers saw Christ bring light to the hearts of people living in darkness. A recent outreach to youth in one slum resulted in eight young people accepting Christ. In rural areas where alcoholism is rampant, new Christians gave up drinking and other unhealthy habits. Among other outreaches, workers invited 10 to 15 people to lunches or dinners where they shared the gospel, and discipleship of new Christians was extensive as workers explained the importance of basic biblical precepts. Workers need donations of $60 or $120 to proclaim Christ and follow up with new believers. Pray the truth of God’s love would take deep root.
