At a four-day evangelistic event in the northern part of the country, local leaders mobilized those hostile to the gospel to destroy the team’s generator and sound system speakers. “But finally those who made it so they lost power accepted Jesus and confessed all the wicked works they have done to keep the villages poor and afflicted,” the ministry leader said. “Hallelujah! Jesus Christ is glorified.” At a Sunday service the next day, the team prepared new Christians for persecution, with a few workers staying in the village to disciple them. Donations are sought to share about Christ and follow up with those who believe. Pray the Lord will guard those facing hostilities for their faith.
“So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 1:6)
