The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is almost entirely Islamic, making it one of the world’s most restricted mission fields. Conflict and terrorism in the region have left millions of people displaced, many of whom are traumatized after losing family members. Over a decade after the Arab Spring, millions of Syrians are still displaced or living in destitution as refugees in countries like Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. Indigenous missionaries assisted by Christian Aid Mission are ministering to displaced people and refugees, providing emergency food aid, medical relief, and trauma counseling in Jesus’ name.

Ministry Highlight

In Iran, a ministry sent 45,000 Bibles across five states. “Five of the smugglers gave their lives to Jesus and have been trained in the gospel,” the ministry leader said. “Every one of them had family members or friends killed in their line of work.” Since the ministry began, they planted over 2,100 churches with believers in all 31 states.

How You Can Make a Difference

Indigenous ministries that Christian Aid Mission assists are reporting unprecedented openness among Muslims, who are questioning Islam in the face of Islamic terrorism and brutality. God is providing opportunities for His people to share the gospel in MENA, but they need your help to provide them with critical tools such as Bibles and aid to help the needy.

From the Mission Field in MENA

Provide a Better Future to the Downtrodden in North Africa
Through a local ministry’s school, not only did an illiterate woman learn to read, write, and cook baked goods to support her family, but she also learned about the Lord and gave her life to Christ. “I am deeply grateful to God and the staff for changing my life,” she said. Help support such life-changing outreach with a donation of $25 or $50. Pray for doors to open for missionaries to share the gospel.
Shine a Gospel Light in Unreached Villages of North Africa
A local ministry is reaching a formerly unreached community through its women and youth outreach events. “Gradually the power of God is changing and impacting lives positively as we continue to shine the light of God in communities that have never heard nor encountered Christians before in their lifetime,” the ministry leader said. Support evangelism to the unreached through a donation of $25 or $50. Pray that hearts will long to know the love of the Savior.
Share the Hope of the Gospel in North Africa
A young man with extremist Muslim views and hostility toward Christianity began to read a Bible gifted to him by a local missionary, and his life was transformed. Through regular prayer and discipleship, the young man eventually gave his life to Christ. “The church is now preparing to baptize him,” the ministry leader said. You can support such evangelism and discipleship with a donation. Pray the Truth will set the lost free.
Share the Hope of the Gospel in the Middle East
A young Christian man’s Muslim uncle enjoyed sparking intense religious arguments in which he harshly criticized those opposed to him. But after his son’s death, the man completely withdrew from the family and finally admitted that even his daily Islamic prayers did not bring him peace. His nephew saw this as an opportunity to share the gospel, and now, they engage in regular, peaceful conversation about Jesus.
Support Community Outreach in MENA
A farmer and father of three who supports his family from a small daily wage was able to participate in a local ministry’s lending service. With the ministry’s financial help, he purchased a sewing machine and opened a shoe repair shop in his village. Then, with the profits, he purchased an additional sewing machine to expand his business so that he can repair bags as well. “Now, instead of being a daily wage farmer, he has succeeded to run his own microenterprise and has a stable income,” the ministry leader said. Donations help local ministries provide opportunities for such community engagement projects.
Stand With Persecuted Believers in MENA
An orphaned Muslim boy met missionaries from a local ministry and volunteered to help them as they assisted others in his community. As he watched the missionaries assist those in need, regardless of their religion, his curiosity about Jesus grew. Soon, he gave his life to Christ. But those in his village who remembered his Muslim parents grew angry at his conversion and threatened him. The missionaries immediately helped him escape and sheltered him in a safe house. Currently, he is preparing for baptism as the missionaries seek a new safe house for him. Your donations assist persecuted Christians.
