The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is almost entirely Islamic, making it one of the world’s most restricted mission fields. Conflict and terrorism in the region have left millions of people displaced, many of whom are traumatized after losing family members. Over a decade after the Arab Spring, millions of Syrians are still displaced or living in destitution as refugees in countries like Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. Indigenous missionaries assisted by Christian Aid Mission are ministering to displaced people and refugees, providing emergency food aid, medical relief, and trauma counseling in Jesus’ name.

Ministry Highlight

In Iran, a ministry sent 45,000 Bibles across five states. “Five of the smugglers gave their lives to Jesus and have been trained in the gospel,” the ministry leader said. “Every one of them had family members or friends killed in their line of work.” Since the ministry began, they planted over 2,100 churches with believers in all 31 states.

How You Can Make a Difference

Indigenous ministries that Christian Aid Mission assists are reporting unprecedented openness among Muslims, who are questioning Islam in the face of Islamic terrorism and brutality. God is providing opportunities for His people to share the gospel in MENA, but they need your help to provide them with critical tools such as Bibles and aid to help the needy.

From the Mission Field in MENA

Share the Love of God in MENA
Local missionaries carry Bibles with them wherever they go and distribute them to those with whom they interact each day. Recently, during a missionary’s taxi ride, his Muslim driver bragged about his sinful and violent life. After hearing these stories, the missionary gave the driver a Bible, shared the gospel with him, and provided him with his contact information. Three days later, the taxi driver called him to ask many questions about Jesus and, over the phone, surrendered his life to Christ. Your donations assist missionaries in their daily evangelism efforts.
Equip Believers With Deeper Biblical Understanding in MENA
A pastor’s wife struggled with sharing or speaking with groups of people because she lacked confidence in her biblical knowledge. But after she participated in a local ministry’s year-long Bible school, that changed. “God truly transformed my life and walk with Him,” she said. “He gave me a real hunger for His words, and I am now sharing and teaching the women in our church and sharing in the devotion. To God be the glory.” Your monthly gift of $60 assists with such training endeavors.
Provide Life-Saving Assistance to Persecuted Christians in MENA
A young woman learned about Christianity online, and when her curiosity grew, she contacted local missionaries, emailing them questions she had about Christianity. Eventually, she gave her life to Christ, but her father, a Muslim leader in the community, threatened to kill her, and she was forced to flee. The local church helped protect her and supported her during this time. “The encouraging thing is that she stayed strong and bold during all of this,” the ministry leader said. Your donations assist persecuted Christians in their trials.
Share the Assurance of God’s Unfailing Love in MENA
After years in an abusive marriage, a young woman returned to her parents’ home, unwilling to remain with her abusive husband any longer. But the young woman needed to help support her family. Local missionaries encouraged her to enroll in their ministry’s vocational training program, and she agreed. “When we saw her for the first time, she looked helpless and broken,” the ministry leader said. “We sat with her and prayed together.” The young woman soon completed training to work in a nail salon, and today, she thanks God for the training she received. Donations support ministry opportunities such as this.
Support Missionaries’ Kingdom Work in MENA
After the deaths of his father and brother, a 30-year-old man fell into a deep depression and daily grew angrier at God. A local missionary regularly visited him to talk about the Lord, and he also always invited the man to church. At first, the man refused to come, but eventually, he agreed. "There, he felt a peace he never experienced before," the ministry leader said. "After attending several times, he decided to give in to God's will." Your donations of $60 or $120 support local missionaries in their every-day outreach to others.
Strengthen Believers’ Faith in MENA
A missionary built a relationship with a family in a city that is especially difficult to reach with the gospel, and over time, as that relationship grew, he shared the gospel with them. The whole family gave their lives to Jesus, but because they didn't have access to Bibles, the local ministry invited them to another country where they could undergo training on how to share the gospel with others. The ministry regularly conducts training sessions such as this to teach believers how to evangelize in countries opposed to Christianity. Your donations support such discipleship endeavors.
