The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is almost entirely Islamic, making it one of the world’s most restricted mission fields. Conflict and terrorism in the region have left millions of people displaced, many of whom are traumatized after losing family members. Over a decade after the Arab Spring, millions of Syrians are still displaced or living in destitution as refugees in countries like Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. Indigenous missionaries assisted by Christian Aid Mission are ministering to displaced people and refugees, providing emergency food aid, medical relief, and trauma counseling in Jesus’ name.

Ministry Highlight

In Iran, a ministry sent 45,000 Bibles across five states. “Five of the smugglers gave their lives to Jesus and have been trained in the gospel,” the ministry leader said. “Every one of them had family members or friends killed in their line of work.” Since the ministry began, they planted over 2,100 churches with believers in all 31 states.

How You Can Make a Difference

Indigenous ministries that Christian Aid Mission assists are reporting unprecedented openness among Muslims, who are questioning Islam in the face of Islamic terrorism and brutality. God is providing opportunities for His people to share the gospel in MENA, but they need your help to provide them with critical tools such as Bibles and aid to help the needy.

From the Mission Field in MENA

Support Missionaries’ Kingdom Work in MENA
After the deaths of his father and brother, a 30-year-old man fell into a deep depression and daily grew angrier at God. A local missionary regularly visited him to talk about the Lord, and he also always invited the man to church. At first, the man refused to come, but eventually, he agreed. "There, he felt a peace he never experienced before," the ministry leader said. "After attending several times, he decided to give in to God's will." Your donations of $60 or $120 support local missionaries in their every-day outreach to others.
Strengthen Believers’ Faith in MENA
A missionary built a relationship with a family in a city that is especially difficult to reach with the gospel, and over time, as that relationship grew, he shared the gospel with them. The whole family gave their lives to Jesus, but because they didn't have access to Bibles, the local ministry invited them to another country where they could undergo training on how to share the gospel with others. The ministry regularly conducts training sessions such as this to teach believers how to evangelize in countries opposed to Christianity. Your donations support such discipleship endeavors.
Urge the Lost Toward the Cross in MENA
One cold, rainy night, a ministry leader gathered in front of a fire with local residents to discuss politics. As the conversation progressed, they began to talk of spiritual things, and the ministry leader shared the differences between Christianity and Islam. Two young men grew more curious about what he said, and he is hopeful that gospel seeds were planted. "I wish we were winning some people to Christ now," he said. "But God's good will might have asked us to wait a little and the harvest will come after the sowing." Your donations support such kingdom work.
Stand Alongside Persecuted Believers in MENA
A North African ministry was forced to make many adjustments to its operations because of persecution from local authorities. Despite the surveillance under which it now works, the ministry continues to not only train believers, but it has also provided vocational training to 18 vulnerable women; it has been contacted by more than 2,000 people following a media outreach; it conducted six summer camps; and workers led 247 people to Jesus during a six-month period. Your donations assist ministries such as this one that persevere despite persecution.
Support Missionaries in Their Christ-Centered Service in MENA
A man brought his spiritual questions to a local missionary. Following their conversation, he gave his life to Christ. “I felt God open my heart to believe and my eyes to see Him in my life,” the man said. “I was imprisoned by sin but now I thank the Lord who gave me true life. My family noticed the change in me, and I've tried to present Jesus to them. I pray they do not take a long time to accept him as Savior.” Donations of $60 help support missionaries who daily build relationships with the lost in Jesus' name.
Deliver Bibles to Truth Seekers in MENA
A new believer from a Muslim background received a Bible from a local missionary, and as he read, he increasingly understood the truth about Christianity versus what he had been taught from Islam. "What struck me the most as I read the Bible was that God cares for me as an individual," he said. "I am reading it every morning and every evening and I am thankful someone was able to share with me this precious gift." Your donations of $32 or $64 help missionaries distribute Bibles to those who might not otherwise have access to Scripture.
