A farmer and father of three who supports his family from a small daily wage was able to participate in a local ministry’s lending service. With the ministry’s financial help, he purchased a sewing machine and opened a shoe repair shop in his village. Then, with the profits, he purchased an additional sewing machine to expand his business so that he can repair bags as well. “Now, instead of being a daily wage farmer, he has succeeded to run his own microenterprise and has a stable income,” the ministry leader said. Donations help local ministries provide opportunities for such community engagement projects.
