Pray for local missionaries who continue with their work through the darkness of war. Despite the daily fear and uncertainties here, one local ministry joyfully reported nine recent baptisms, with two new believers currently undergoing a discipleship class in preparation for baptism. “This is encouraging for us to see and to know that the Lord is continuing to build His church,” the ministry leader said. “May these young men and women lead us into a spiritual promised land, where all Israel will be saved.” Your donations support local ministries that continue with their outreach and discipleship in difficult times.

“I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.” (2 Samuel 22:4)

May 2, 2025

Pray for missionaries as they diligently work to provide gospel resources to believers. Christians from an indigenous tribe were recently gifted with the first versions of the gospels of Luke and James written in their language, and they received them with tears of joy. “From now on, the Lord will speak to these people in their own language,” the ministry leader said. “What a remarkable day this is for both our ministry and the Christians of this tribe!” The ministry plans to continue translating the Bible into the tribe’s language so that these Christians have access to all the Scriptures. Your donations of $50 or $100 support such evangelism and discipleship.

May 3, 2025

Pray that new believers will be firmly rooted in their faith. Local missionaries had the recent great joy of baptizing eight new believers, including a mother and her three children from an indigenous tribe, and four other individuals from several other tribes. The baptisms took place in the river, and afterward, the group celebrated the Lord’s Supper before the missionaries counseled and discipled the group at the ministry’s office. “All glory be to our Almighty Father who made this possible,” the ministry leader said. Your donations of $60 or $120 assist missionaries in this kingdom work.

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.” (Galatians 3:26-27)

May 4, 2025

Pray for more opportunities to share the gospel. During a visit to a refugee camp, a local ministry leader’s sermon so impacted those who heard it that they requested he return. One of the listeners was the wife of a Muslim man. Later, the man called the ministry leader and requested a meeting to learn more about the Word of God. The ministry leader agreed to meet. “The line we must walk when we approach Muslims to make disciples is thin,” he said. Missionaries’ aim is not to just convert Muslims to Jesus but also to make them into true disciples. Your donations help support such evangelism and discipleship.

May 5, 2025

Pray the study of Scripture will lead people to surrender their lives to Jesus. A local missionary leads a Bible study for people who wish to know more about Christ, and he credits his own study of Scripture for giving him the confidence to do so. “Learning about the life of Jesus and praying to God is like spiritual breathing,” he said. Now, as he leads the Bible study and listens to the many questions from the participants, he understands the value of turning to Scripture to find clear answers and encourage one another. Your donations support discipleship opportunities such as this.

“After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.” (John 2:22)

May 6, 2025

Pray the Word of God will transform the lives of those who hear it. Local missionaries are committed to ongoing visits to various villages where they share the gospel, distribute Bibles, and conduct group Bible studies. In a recent six-month period, 10 people gave their lives to Jesus as a result of their efforts. “We share stories of individuals who had overcome their struggles through faith and how their lives were profoundly changed by embracing Christ,” the ministry leader said. “Many have welcomed Jesus Christ into their hearts and lives.” Your donations help missionaries with such evangelism and discipleship work.

May 7, 2025

Pray the gospel message will penetrate the hearts of those who hear it. More than 70,000 people regularly listen to a local ministry’s radio program, with listeners surrendering their lives to Christ every day. “God called me for this special task,” the ministry leader said. “I will continue doing it until I cannot.” In addition to its regular listeners, many new house church leaders depend on its content for training. “I listened and then I was able to put together a sermon and preach at my church,” one man said. Your donations assist with outreach like this program.

“But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.” (James 1:22)

May 8, 2025

Pray the poor and vulnerable will trust in God’s provision. When a local ministry learned that a family with five children had recently lost their mother, one of the missionaries visited the father to determine how they were faring. The father admitted that he was not always able to provide food for the family, and the local church immediately provided them with meal assistance. As a result, the relationship between the missionary and the father grew, and soon, the missionary shared the gospel with him. Your donations help support such outreach.

May 9, 2025

Pray that Bibles will be accessible to those who long to have one. A farmer gave his life to Christ during a local ministry’s evangelism event, and later, when one of the missionaries asked if he had a Bible, the farmer admitted he wanted one but did not have the money to purchase it. When the missionary then gifted the man with a Bible, he was overcome with excitement. “For the first time, I am going to read the Bible,” he told the missionary. “I think this will change my life and that of my family.” Your donations of $32 or $64 help provide Bibles to those who thirst for God’s word.

“You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.” (Psalm 4:7)

May 10, 2025

Pray for missionaries as they seek out new ways to bring believers together. The completion of a local ministry’s new church building has enabled its children’s ministry to blossom. Here, the children enjoy music lessons, camps, and fellowship that enable them to build friendships and learn about Christ. “This is a dedicated space where our children, staff, and visitors gather daily to worship in faith,” the ministry leader said. “The chapel stands as a symbol of God’s faithfulness and a reminder of His presence among us.” Your generous donations assist with the construction of such places of worship.

May 11, 2025

Pray the Holy Spirit will destroy dark, spiritual strongholds, and the lost will turn to Christ. Audio Bibles have helped transform one Muslim-majority region into a place filled with followers of Christ. “Villages have entirely turned to the Lord because they listen to audio Bibles and understand who Jesus is from the Bible rather than from the Quran,” the ministry leader said. “Now the fire is spreading in Muslim lands, and chiefs and witch doctors are turning from their trades to say ‘Lord, have mercy!'” Your donations assist local missionaries as they seek to bring the lost to a saving faith in Jesus.

“…the people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined.” (Matthew 4:16)

May 12, 2025

Pray for local missionaries as they prepare to engage with communities that do not know Christ. A local ministry recently launched a Mission and Church Planting Ministry to help local missionaries better understand and work within the cultural challenges they will face, particularly within Arabic and Persian communities. “We’re excited to see the impact they’ll have as they share the gospel in their communities,” the ministry leader said. “We’re committed to making sure our missionaries are spiritually strong and well-supported because we know how tough ministry work can be.” Donations of $60 assist with training such as this.

May 13, 2025

Pray the Lord will comfort those who are suffering. Local missionaries visited multiple leprosy villages, providing hundreds of people with much-needed aid and sharing the gospel. “After COVID-19, they had not received any help from anyone,” the ministry leader said after visiting one particular village. “They are very hungry. We provided them with rice and food.” In another place, the missionaries supplied the people with rice and medicine and gave cake to the children. They also helped the local house church create a bore well and tank for water, and they helped build a restroom. Donations will help missionaries provide such assistance.

“Seek the Lord and His strength; seek His face evermore!” (1 Chronicles 16:11)

May 14, 2025

Pray for the health and safety of missionaries who travel long distances for Jesus. After a village leader gave his life to Jesus and was baptized by a local missionary, he requested the missionary return to his village to share the gospel with the 47 families who live there. The missionary and one of his coworkers agreed to journey the 90 miles to the village, traveling first by bus then by foot for the remaining 25 miles. Their trip resulted in 61 people giving their lives to Christ, and 54 were baptized. Your donations support missionaries in their perseverance to share the good news of Jesus.

May 15, 2025

Pray for believers as they train to share the gospel with the lost. Through its seminary, a local ministry launched a PhD program in collaboration with other seminaries that provides a doctoral education taught in context to the local cultural challenges that students will face upon graduation. “It equips leaders to engage deeply with theology in ways that resonate with their cultural and ministry contexts,” the ministry leader said. “It underscores our commitment to strengthening the Church in the region and beyond, ensuring it is prepared to navigate contemporary challenges with wisdom and insight.” Your donations of $60 or $120 will help provide assistance with such leadership and discipleship training.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

May 16, 2025

Pray that those facing trials will look to the Lord for their strength. Not only were a husband and his wife experiencing marital problems, but she was seriously ill and bedridden. One day, a local missionary visited them and shared the gospel. He also prayed for the woman’s healing. The couple gave their lives to Jesus, and the woman was soon able to leave her bed and slowly began to recover. Together, they were also baptized. “She is very thankful to the Lord for her salvation, and for restoring her marriage and her health,” the ministry leader said. Donations of $25 or $100 assist missionaries in their work for the Lord.

May 17, 2025

Pray for missionaries in their relationship-building efforts. Local missionaries met a family with six children abandoned by their father, leaving the mother and grandmother to raise them. When the missionaries first reached out, the grandmother was suspicious of their motives, but on their second visit, they shared their Christian faith and told them they were part of a local ministry. As a result, the grandmother’s attitude changed, and she welcomed them into the home. Then, she told her grandchildren they should believe in Jesus and become more like the missionaries. Your donations of $60 will help support missionaries as they build relationships and share Jesus in their communities.

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” (Proverbs 19:17)

May 18, 2025

Pray the sick and suffering will put their trust in Jesus. A local ministry has treated more than 6,000 patients at its hospital during a six-month period, with its focus on providing OB-GYN and orthopedic services to the poor and vulnerable. Doctors have delivered babies and performed various other gynecological surgeries, and with the help of an orthopedic robot, they have done several knee replacement surgeries as well. This work enables these Christian workers to share the gospel with those who might not otherwise hear it, encouraging those they help to give their lives to Jesus. Your donations of $35 or $70 assist with such medical outreach.

May 19, 2025

Pray for missionaries to lean on the Lord during their own hardships. Though she was suffering from a difficult health condition, a local missionary agreed to attend the funeral of the mother of one of her students because the student asked if she would share the gospel during the service. “Truly, it was a harvest of souls because all of the visitors (including the student’s other family members) responded to the invitation to accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior and Lord,” the ministry leader said. “Glory to God.” Donations of $25 or $50 support missionaries in their evangelism efforts.

“The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.” (Nahum 1:7)

May 20, 2025

Pray for hearts to be transformed as the gospel message is preached. Over the course of a year, local missionaries showed the Jesus film in more than 130 villages and 17 public schools. As a result, more than 1,400 people heard the gospel, 510 people gave their lives to Christ, and 394 believers were baptized. “We have witnessed God’s hand in transforming lives and communities,” the ministry leader said. “We will persevere in fulfilling the Great Commission and spreading the love of Christ to the ends of the earth.” Donations assist with such evangelism efforts.

May 21, 2025

Pray the lost will find hope in God’s word. A young government employee told a local ministry leader he was a traitor for believing God was more important than their country. The leader shared with her the Scripture that encourages believers to pray for those in authority, which he was committed to doing. Then, he encouraged her to read through the New Testament, which she did. “Her life was changed,” the ministry leader said. “She noticed God’s love for us all—our nations and each one of us—as Jesus came to die for us all. She put her faith in our Lord Jesus.” Your donations assist missionaries with such evangelism.

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

May 22, 2025

Pray those who fall away from their faith will return to Jesus. Through a local ministry’s Christian library, members of the community not only have the opportunity to learn more about the gospel, but children living on the streets are also able to receive reading and writing lessons there. One young woman participated in these lessons as a child and recently returned to work at the library after many years of straying away from the Lord. “She began to hunger again for the Word,” the ministry leader said. “She is also sharing Jesus with her children and her alcohol-dependent husband.” Your donations of $50 or $100 support such ministry.

May 23, 2025

Pray for missionaries as they build relationships with the lost. After they received approval to assist at an emergency reception center, local missionaries began to lead Italian language lessons there three times a week. “If we did not intervene with our volunteers, many would be left to their personal initiatives,” the ministry leader said. Through their work, missionaries aim to build relationships that will in turn provide them opportunities to share the gospel and invite people to church. “All our hard work is only to reach people with the gospel,” the ministry leader said. Your donations support such outreach and evangelism.

“Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against anyone among your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.” (Leviticus 19:18)

May 24, 2025

Pray the Lord will protect missionaries in their daily work for His kingdom. A local ministry reported that nine new churches were planted during a six-month period, an encouraging sign as missionaries have struggled against ongoing persecution and violence. “The unrest has led to significant communication disruptions,” the ministry leader said. “They have severely impacted our community support, making this one of the most challenging periods in our mission history. But these new churches are a testament to the unwavering faith and dedication of our missionaries.” Donations of $50 or $100 support ministry within the country.

May 25, 2025

Pray the lost will find healing in the Lord’s arms. A woman was suffering from severe depression and no one—including her husband—knew how to help her. But one day, the Lord appeared to the woman in a vision, and the experience led her to seek out a local missionary. The missionary shared the gospel with her and prayed for her to be free from her depression. As a result, the woman gave her life to Christ. “God took away all her depression and gave her a deep joy,” the ministry leader said. Your donations support missionaries as they comfort the lost and broken.

May 26, 2025

Pray for the provision of resources to help train missionaries in sharing the gospel. Forty local pastors recently attended a church planting training retreat to learn how to be more effective in their ministry. “This training helped them to be equipped in the Word of God and be more effective in their evangelism,” the ministry leader said. The teachers structured the event around the New Testament pattern of church planting, which they entitled “Replication Strategy.” As a result of the training, the pastors have now successfully formed house churches in their communities. Your donations assist with such training opportunities.

May 27, 2025

Pray for those on the cusp of giving their lives to Jesus, that they will surrender to His love. A married couple had a difficult relationship because of their different ethnic backgrounds, and the woman often complained of her husband to the wife of a local missionary. The missionary’s wife shared the gospel with her. As a result, the woman surrendered her life to Christ. Later, her husband met other missionaries from the ministry and heard the gospel for the first time as well. Though he has not yet given his life to Jesus, missionaries continue to minister to him and build a friendship with him. Donations support such evangelism.

“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding.” (Ephesians 1:7-8)

May 28, 2025

Pray the Lord will comfort those who are afraid and weary. A local missionary spends much of his time at the maternity ward in his community, where he ministers to and prays for the women there. Many of these new mothers suffer from depression because they come from severe poverty and struggle to survive, with the ministry estimating that nearly 80 percent are in desperate situations. “It is indeed a sad state of affairs,” the ministry leader said. “Many elope with men who are drug or alcohol addicts, and they hope for a better life, not knowing it will be worse.” Your donations help missionaries encourage and assist those in need.

May 29, 2025

Pray that those who hear the gospel message will give their lives to Jesus. A community has been transformed by local missionaries who shared the gospel through a sports ministry. Their outreach efforts brought together young people from Muslim and Christian backgrounds and opened community members’ eyes to the value of younger generations. “You gave us a spirit of life by gathering the youth Muslims and Christians,” the governor reported to the local ministry leader. During the outreach, many participants requested copies of the Bible and asked questions about Christ. Your donations of $50 support outreach such as this.

“What then is my reward? Just this: that in preaching the gospel I may offer it free of charge, and so not make full use of my rights as a preacher of the gospel.” (1 Corinthians 9:18)

May 30, 2025

Pray the gospel will touch the lives of the lost. Despite opposition, a local missionary preached the gospel in six villages and held prayer meetings in the homes of believers, not only bringing together believers for this time of fellowship but also opening the door for people from other religions to learn of Jesus as well. “It was amazing to see how many people were touched during those gatherings,” he said. “Several experienced miraculous healings through our ministry, and a few have started coming to church!” Your donations will assist with this important gospel work.

May 31, 2025

Pray the Holy Spirit will rain down on the lost as missionaries preach the Word of the Lord. Each soul won to Jesus is a cause for celebration among local missionaries, missionaries who unceasingly sacrifice for the sake of the gospel. They baptize new believers in murky rivers, disciple groups of men and women in tiny apartments, spend hours translating Scripture into indigenous languages, and pray over the sick in the middle of the night. Please consider a donation today to help Christian Aid Mission find, vet, and assist these mighty men and women who soldier on, day in and day out, for the kingdom of God.
