China is going through a challenging season. Many young people are out of work and feel hopeless. Thousands of churches were closed during the pandemic, and most have not been permitted to reopen. In addition, new regulations targeting house churches have made it illegal for pastors to collect tithes. Christians are now meeting together in small groups, resulting in a huge need for trained leaders. Over the years, ministries assisted by Christian Aid Mission have been able to train thousands of pastors and Christian leaders in underground churches. They are heavily engaged in reaching minority ethnic groups unreached by the gospel and translating the Bible into their languages.

Ministry Highlight

Missionaries working among remote, ethnic minorities partnered with teachers at small, local schools to help raise awareness about the importance of education, as many children do not attend school, and provided school supplies to poor children. They also distributed food, blankets, and warm clothing to earthquake victims in the region. Their efforts yielded three small groups of believers who meet weekly.

How You Can Make a Difference

Indigenous missionaries in China courageously persevere despite the challenges of new laws that penalize their work and increased surveillance to enforce such laws. They must operate with much wisdom and faith in God’s protection and provision. Your prayers and financial support encourage them, remind them that they are not alone, and strengthen their work so they can reach even more souls for Christ.

From the Mission Field in China

Unite With The Persecuted Church in China
An older woman in a village hostile to the gospel chose to follow Jesus after the persistent love and compassion she was shown by native missionaries. But her neighbors prohibited her from attending church, and her children told the missionaries they were unwelcome. When the woman suffered a bad fall and no one knew if she would live, the missionaries prayed, and her injuries soon healed. After they witnessed God’s healing power, the villagers grew kinder toward the missionaries. “Thank the Lord that the soil was softened and seeds will soon sprout,” the ministry leader said. Your donations of $50 or $100 support gospel work in places hostile to Jesus. Pray for those persecuted for their faith.
Care For The Sick And Ailing in China
Missionaries with a native ministry serve patients and their families at a local hospital, sharing the gospel and providing food and free lodging to those who have spent much of their savings on medical expenses. Even after the patients leave the hospital, ministry workers maintain a relationship with them, visiting them in their homes or speaking with them on the phone. Of the nearly 1,000 people who received assistance in the past six months, 50 chose to follow Jesus. Your donations of $35 or $70 support compassionate aid such as this. Pray the hope of Christ will lift up those who are hurting or sick.
Build Relationships With The Lost in China
A native missionary shared the gospel with a woman, and the woman’s heart was opened to accept Jesus as Savior. After they prayed together, the woman said that her eyes hurt and asked the missionary to pray for healing. Three days later, the woman told the missionary that her eyes were healed, and the missionary was overjoyed to see God’s hand at work. “All we need to do is submit to God’s will and do our duty,” the ministry leader said. “God will prepare the rest and fulfill His will.” Donations help provide for such evangelism and discipleship. Pray Christian workers will eagerly share the good news of Christ in all circumstances.
Help Christian Workers Expand The Kingdom in China
A woman who was the only believer in her family of six moved away with her husband to find work in another city. In their new home, their job situation prevented her from attending church, and her zeal for the Lord faded. But, eventually, the couple returned to their hometown, and, after many visits and prayers from native missionaries, the woman’s faith burned bright again. She began to pray in earnest that God would change the hearts of her family. Eventually, her mother-in-law became a believer too. Donations of $60 or $120 support missionaries who persevere for the kingdom. Pray that believers will trust God with their burdens.
Tell Of Christ’s Transforming Power in China
A patient in a native ministry’s rehabilitation program had no confidence in his ability to withstand temptation. He was from a broken family and addicted to drugs, and he had been sent to prison several times. But during his time in the program, Christian workers shared the gospel with him and helped him slowly rebuild his life. He gave his heart to Christ and was baptized, and it became obvious that he had undergone a transformation. “He now is stable and has a sense of purpose and direction,” the ministry leader said. Your donations assist outreach such as this. Pray believers will look to the Lord when faced with temptation.
Assist Those Whose Worship Is Monitored in China
A native ministry organized a four-day convention and spent many days training ushers, counselors, prayer warriors, and other committees to ensure the event ran smoothly. “Praise the Lord!” the ministry leader said following its conclusion. “The Lord ministered and won many souls to the glory of God.” Among the 45 people who decided to give their lives to Christ was a prominent and respected man from a nearby town. “He is now a new being in Christ,” the ministry leader said. Your donations support evangelism and discipleship such as this. Pray the lost will be transformed by the power of the cross.
