In most countries in the difficult mission field of Eurasia, evangelical believers comprise less than 1 percent of the population. Indigenous missionaries travel far distances in these countries to bring the message of Christ to isolated, unreached people groups. They face political, cultural, and religious ideologies that are closed and hostile to the gospel message. Through compassionate outreach to children and poor, marginalized people, missionaries are making inroads for the gospel.

Ministry Highlight

A ministry in Uzbekistan shared the gospel with over 2,600 people and started 18 new churches last year. They are reaching the Turkmen people, who are one of the world’s least-reached people groups, in an area near the border of Turkmenistan. “This area is one of the most remote corners of the country,” the leader said. “A desert, both naturally and spiritually.” There are now about 30 new believers in this area and even more seekers.

How You Can Make a Difference

Thanks to dedicated indigenous missionaries, the gospel is taking root among the ethnic minorities in Eurasia, but they need help to reach the remote communities where these minorities live to disciple and train them in God’s Word. You can supply them with vital resources for transportation and living expenses, along with Bibles and training materials.

From the Mission Field in Eurasia

Minister To Vulnerable Young People in Kazakhstan
Christian workers use a sports ministry to build relationships with local young people, many of whom are orphans being raised by relatives. “We try to become trustees for them, take responsibility to help them find their calling, profession, and find their place in life,” the ministry leader said. Through sports, workers develop friendships with these young men and women, which opens opportunities to share Christ. Their outreach is desperately needed as Islam grows in influence, particularly among the demographic they serve. Donations of $25 or $50 help workers with such evangelism and discipleship. Pray that the Holy Spirit would move among the young people in this region.
Lift Up Persecuted Believers in Kyrgyzstan
The leader of a native ministry visited a married couple in a remote village who had been ostracized by their family and neighbors for their Christian beliefs. When the couple sought to join their cow to a local herd, the herdsmen forbade it. When they need water for their garden, they are prohibited from getting it. “When I hear some of our people share what they were persecuted for, I just cry and weep,” said the ministry leader. Still, the couple maintains their faith in Christ, trusting that He will give them the strength to withstand these hardships. Funds help support native ministries as they disciple persecuted believers. Pray for the steadfastness of the persecuted church.
Minister to Young Adults in Kyrgyzstan
A teenage boy attended a weekly outreach event for teens organized by a local ministry because it seemed like a fun way to pass the time. Each Saturday, the ministry rented a soccer field for the teens to play soccer together. Then, they came together at church to sing, fellowship, and talk about God. The boy was one of 20 teens who regularly attended, and soon, God began to move in his heart. Three years later, he was baptized. Now, he is part of a leadership group that works with teens and young people. Your gift of $30 or $60 helps fund outreach events such as these. Pray for teens to turn their hearts toward Christ.
Extend Grace To The Lost in Kazakhstan
“Often, people are quickly ignited by God,” a ministry leader said. “But without having a root, they quickly go out.” The leader’s wisdom serves as the foundation for his ministry’s work. When he and his wife began a new family group with two other families, they understood they must be firmly rooted in their own faith to best serve one of the families, who are unbelievers. Each week the group meets together to read and discuss the Bible, and the leaders pray that Christ will open the hearts of the unbelieving family to His salvation. Your donations support evangelistic outreach such as this. Pray that the richness of Scripture will encourage unbelievers to follow Jesus.
Share The Joy Of Jesus in Kyrgyzstan
A young man reluctantly agreed to accompany his friends on a ski trip organized by a native ministry, but ministry workers learned later that the man had been taught so many false things about Christians that he was afraid to spend time with believers. By the end of the trip, however, he realized what he had been taught was false, and he began to ask questions of the workers. When they returned from the trip, he began to attend church. Donations of $25 or $50 support outreach opportunities such as this. Pray that unbelievers’ hearts will be open to Christ’s salvation.
Transform Lives With The Salvation Story in Kazakhstan
A teenager who recently became a believer traveled with native missionaries to a sports conference during which she was able to fellowship with other young believers like herself. But during the trip, her parents pressured her with negative conversations and told her the missionaries were crazy. The girl and the missionaries began to pray for her parents, and when she reunited with them, she was amazed by how kind and encouraging they were to her. “Thank God that He softened their hearts,” the ministry leader said. Donations of $25 or $50 support evangelism and discipleship. Pray the Lord’s protection over new believers in families and places hostile to the gospel.
