In most countries in the difficult mission field of Eurasia, evangelical believers comprise less than 1 percent of the population. Indigenous missionaries travel far distances in these countries to bring the message of Christ to isolated, unreached people groups. They face political, cultural, and religious ideologies that are closed and hostile to the gospel message. Through compassionate outreach to children and poor, marginalized people, missionaries are making inroads for the gospel.

Ministry Highlight

A ministry in Uzbekistan shared the gospel with over 2,600 people and started 18 new churches last year. They are reaching the Turkmen people, who are one of the world’s least-reached people groups, in an area near the border of Turkmenistan. “This area is one of the most remote corners of the country,” the leader said. “A desert, both naturally and spiritually.” There are now about 30 new believers in this area and even more seekers.

How You Can Make a Difference

Thanks to dedicated indigenous missionaries, the gospel is taking root among the ethnic minorities in Eurasia, but they need help to reach the remote communities where these minorities live to disciple and train them in God’s Word. You can supply them with vital resources for transportation and living expenses, along with Bibles and training materials.

From the Mission Field in Eurasia

Extend Grace To The Lost in Kazakhstan
“Often, people are quickly ignited by God,” a ministry leader said. “But without having a root, they quickly go out.” The leader’s wisdom serves as the foundation for his ministry’s work. When he and his wife began a new family group with two other families, they understood they must be firmly rooted in their own faith to best serve one of the families, who are unbelievers. Each week the group meets together to read and discuss the Bible, and the leaders pray that Christ will open the hearts of the unbelieving family to His salvation. Your donations support evangelistic outreach such as this. Pray that the richness of Scripture will encourage unbelievers to follow Jesus.
Share The Joy Of Jesus in Kyrgyzstan
A young man reluctantly agreed to accompany his friends on a ski trip organized by a native ministry, but ministry workers learned later that the man had been taught so many false things about Christians that he was afraid to spend time with believers. By the end of the trip, however, he realized what he had been taught was false, and he began to ask questions of the workers. When they returned from the trip, he began to attend church. Donations of $25 or $50 support outreach opportunities such as this. Pray that unbelievers’ hearts will be open to Christ’s salvation.
Transform Lives With The Salvation Story in Kazakhstan
A teenager who recently became a believer traveled with native missionaries to a sports conference during which she was able to fellowship with other young believers like herself. But during the trip, her parents pressured her with negative conversations and told her the missionaries were crazy. The girl and the missionaries began to pray for her parents, and when she reunited with them, she was amazed by how kind and encouraging they were to her. “Thank God that He softened their hearts,” the ministry leader said. Donations of $25 or $50 support evangelism and discipleship. Pray the Lord’s protection over new believers in families and places hostile to the gospel.
Transform Remote Villages With the Gospel in Uzbekistan
Pray the gospel message will take root and grow in previously unreached places. One year ago, missionaries with an indigenous ministry began to pray for the people in a remote, unreached part of the country. Soon after, a team visited the area to build relationships with the people. When a local man heard the gospel message from the missionaries and gave his life to Christ, a spiritual transformation swept through the community. Now, there are 30 believers. “Our teams continue to visit this region,” the ministry leader said. “One could compare it with a desert land embracing rain.” Your donations support evangelism and outreach.
Share Christ’s Salvation Story With Children in Kyrgyzstan
With the aim of presenting the gospel to children from Muslim families, Christian workers led multiple camps across the country during which more than 300 children learned about Christ and creation, and how to disciple others. “Adults are more closed and more Muslim,” the ministry leader said. “Some are very negative about Christianity. For the children, it’s easy to talk to them.” When the camps ended, many began to regularly attend church. Donations of $30 or $60 support outreach to children. Pray they will be a witness to their families of the transforming power of Jesus.
Lift Up Missionaries’ Friendships with the Lost in Kyrgyzstan
Pray for missionaries as they build relationships with the lost. A missionary with a local ministry organized a community clean-up day in which volunteers from her church painted the playground and cleaned up trash. Their goal was to get to know the people who lived nearby so that, one day, they would be open to hearing the gospel message. Their efforts were fruitful, as several neighbors invited the volunteers for tea and exchanged contact information. “I believe that through these small steps God has prepared His special plan and the ministry there will be under His sensitive leadership,” the missionary said. Donations of $60 or $120 support missionaries in their outreach efforts.
