The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is almost entirely Islamic, making it one of the world’s most restricted mission fields. Conflict and terrorism in the region have left millions of people displaced, many of whom are traumatized after losing family members. Over a decade after the Arab Spring, millions of Syrians are still displaced or living in destitution as refugees in countries like Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. Indigenous missionaries assisted by Christian Aid Mission are ministering to displaced people and refugees, providing emergency food aid, medical relief, and trauma counseling in Jesus’ name.

Ministry Highlight

In Iran, a ministry sent 45,000 Bibles across five states. “Five of the smugglers gave their lives to Jesus and have been trained in the gospel,” the ministry leader said. “Every one of them had family members or friends killed in their line of work.” Since the ministry began, they planted over 2,100 churches with believers in all 31 states.

How You Can Make a Difference

Indigenous ministries that Christian Aid Mission assists are reporting unprecedented openness among Muslims, who are questioning Islam in the face of Islamic terrorism and brutality. God is providing opportunities for His people to share the gospel in MENA, but they need your help to provide them with critical tools such as Bibles and aid to help the needy.

From the Mission Field in MENA

Be the Hope of Christ in the Middle East
Pray the Lord will provide for His people through uncertain days. Though times have grown increasingly dire in the region, one local ministry perseveres in its service to its community, particularly in its assistance to vulnerable families. Missionaries recently distributed food baskets to 90 families, they delivered medicine and medical aid to 12 families, and they gifted 55 children with school supplies. “We are focusing on the Lord and the ministry that He called us to do,” the ministry leader said. “We are so thankful to be able to help and show the love of the Lord.” Your donations of $35 or $70 assist with work such as this.
Celebrate With Those Who Receive Salvation in Jordan
Pray for revival among the lost who hear the gospel. A local ministry recently sent a team into a nearby refugee camp to conduct a one-day medical clinic for the people who live there. During the clinic, they provided medical care and medication to approximately 120 individuals, and the doctors prayed over each person as they administered to their needs. “Many gospel seeds were planted,” the ministry leader said. “Praise God with us for this practical way to minister to people and demonstrate Christ’s love.” Donations help missionaries serve vulnerable people through medical outreach.
Help Missionaries Stand Firm in Turkey
Pray the spiritual eyes of the lost will be opened to God’s goodness. A man who liked to argue with local missionaries about the false beliefs of Christians asked for a New Testament so he could show them the lies in it. But as he began to read, his spiritual eyes were opened. “He noticed how merciful Jesus was to those he connected with,” the ministry leader said. “So, we shared with him how Jesus came into this world to rescue those who were most needy, and he began to cry.” The man gave his life to Christ and was baptized. Your donations support missionaries in their ministry to the lost.
Encourage Believers to Study God’s Word in Lebanon
Pray for new believers as they seek to grow closer to Jesus. Soon after two refugees received Bibles from local missionaries, they gave their lives to Christ. “We understand so much more about God and why a relationship with Jesus is so important,” one of the refugees said. “God really loves us. This is something we are not told about in Islam.” The missionaries also gave them CDs to help guide them in their study of Scripture. “We can better read the Bible because we are helped in understanding what it says and means,” one said. Your donations help provide such resources to new believers as they seek to deepen their faith.
Supply Gospel Resources to the Lost in Turkey
Pray the Word of the Lord will transform those who read it. After reading a New Testament he picked up at a local ministry, a refugee stopped arguing to missionaries against Christianity and instead gave his life to Christ. When his daughter saw the New Testament at their home, she, too, began to read. Her brother found her reading one day and admitted he had been reading it as well. “There’s wonderful things written in that book, right?” he asked his sister. When the siblings learned of their father’s decision to follow Christ, all three were baptized together. Your donations support outreach to the lost.
Provide Aid to the Vulnerable in Palestine
Pray for local ministries as they assist the poor. Local missionaries visited a village to distribute food baskets to the poor, with a particular focus on helping families who struggle to care for children with special needs. In addition, the missionaries provided financial support to some families who were unable to pay their electric and water bills. “We give help to the poor, meeting their physical and emotional needs and replacing fear of the future and not being able to cope with love and practical help,” the ministry leader said. Your donations of $35 or $70 help local ministries provide such aid to those in need.
