The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is almost entirely Islamic, making it one of the world’s most restricted mission fields. Conflict and terrorism in the region have left millions of people displaced, many of whom are traumatized after losing family members. Over a decade after the Arab Spring, millions of Syrians are still displaced or living in destitution as refugees in countries like Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. Indigenous missionaries assisted by Christian Aid Mission are ministering to displaced people and refugees, providing emergency food aid, medical relief, and trauma counseling in Jesus’ name.

Ministry Highlight

In Iran, a ministry sent 45,000 Bibles across five states. “Five of the smugglers gave their lives to Jesus and have been trained in the gospel,” the ministry leader said. “Every one of them had family members or friends killed in their line of work.” Since the ministry began, they planted over 2,100 churches with believers in all 31 states.

How You Can Make a Difference

Indigenous ministries that Christian Aid Mission assists are reporting unprecedented openness among Muslims, who are questioning Islam in the face of Islamic terrorism and brutality. God is providing opportunities for His people to share the gospel in MENA, but they need your help to provide them with critical tools such as Bibles and aid to help the needy.

From the Mission Field in MENA

Be The Hands And Feet Of Jesus in Iran
In the last six months, 20,000 Bibles were distributed across the country, with many smuggled or prayerfully left on park benches or in taxis by native missionaries who trust that those who find them will read and be transformed. Bible study is an important part of church fellowship, and Christian workers from one native ministry lead multiple house churches in which they disciple other believers through prayer and studying of Scripture. They also spend time training others how to study Scripture on their own. Donations of $25 or $50 support evangelism and discipleship such as this. Pray for those who must study the Word of God in secret.
Share The Message Of Christ’s Forgiveness in Iraq
A woman who attended a native ministry’s home church was forced to flee her home, and when she returned, she found her house had been burned down and her neighbor had stolen and sold all of her belongings. Though she was angry for a long time, God helped her learn to forgive and, later, when her neighbor fell ill, she helped him and eventually shared the gospel with him. He apologized for his wrongs and accepted Christ as Savior. “God turned a curse into a blessing and sin into salvation,” the woman said. Your donations help believers share the gospel. Pray they will find joy in the Lord even in difficult circumstances.
Support Those Who Suffer In Jesus’ Name in Jordan
After a man chose to follow Christ, his family did not speak to him for six months. When he refused to return to Islam, they had him arrested. Another believer paid an attorney to get him released, but soon after, his family took away his tea and coffee business. “Finances are always difficult for him,” a native ministry leader said. The ministry has helped him with food and rent as well as discipled him and worked to keep him connected with the body of Christ. Donations of $50 or $100 help provide aid to persecuted believers. Pray for all those who suffer in Jesus’ name.
Share Christ’s Love With The Hopeless
A student at an elite school happened upon a table outside a church that was stacked with New Testaments, and he took one and began to read. The next day, he returned to the church and confessed to the ministry workers that he had been contemplating suicide because he could find no joy in life. But when he read the New Testament, he realized how much God loved him. Three days later, he chose to give his life to Christ, and he was baptized soon after. Your donations help missionaries reach people like this young man. Pray that the word of God will transform the hearts of the lost.
Support Missionaries With Their Gospel Work in Palestine
In the midst of economic and political hardship, native missionaries serve their communities through local churches, which not only provide Bible training and fellowship, but also compassionate aid to those who need it, such as delivering medication to the sick. Christian leaders recently organized a women’s retreat, youth meetings and activities, and home visitations. The church nursery has also proven to be an important outreach tool to Muslim neighbors who send their children there and then hear the gospel message. Your donation will support such outreach. Pray for missionaries as they serve the Lord in difficult times.
Hold Steadfast To The Great Commission in Türkiye
A handful of believers in a city opposed to the gospel began a house fellowship with the encouragement of a native ministry. A Muslim man learned of the group’s meetings via the internet and contacted them. “At first I was just jokingly taking up his time,” the man said. “But the person listening showed such patience sharing the gospel with me.” Through these conversations and his study of the New Testament, the man came to believe that Christ was real and chose to follow Him. Donations of $25 or $50 support evangelism such as this. Pray the Lord will continue to open doors for His truth to be revealed.
