Help Workers Pioneer the Gospel in Burma

January 11

A new mission field has opened up for native Christian workers in a town of staunch Buddhists. A contact there recently invited workers to share the gospel, and they found local people were receptive. Seven people put their faith in Christ for forgiveness of sins and eternal life and were baptized the next day. In addition, one woman trusted in Christ for salvation and wanted to be baptized, but she decided against it out of fear of her relatives. “Please pray for this lady,” the ministry leader said. “Please pray for a worship hall for these new believers.” Donations are sought for such gospel work. Pray the Lord will draw more people into the new fellowship.

“But I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience as an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.” (1 Timothy 1:16)
